Paul, I will comment on specifics below and I will forward to others that travelled with us but let me first say that it was a wonderful trip. The farm is exactly what all of us hoped for. The pictures on the site do not do it justice. We shopped for groceries on Sunday and almost never left the farm from there on-why leave when there's everything you need all in one spot. The children and dog were worn out at the end of each day from all the activites. James and I are expecting a baby so we probably won't make it next year but I think some of the others may continue with what we hope becomes a tradition. Thanks, Carrie, Quakertown, PA. August 2006
From: Paul ,
Specially can you comment on:
1. The cleanliness of the Farm..
Very clean.
2. The condition of the amenities..
Everything was in good shape. We utilized the kitchen to its fullest extent and it served us well.
Paul we appreciate you letting us rent from you & also for the deal you did for us to allow us to go away this year. You will definitely hear from us again in regard to us renting in the future.
I will be more than happy to comment on the below:
>1. The cleanliness of the Farm..
The farm when we got there was exceptionally clean. they did a great job!
>2. The condition of the amenities.. Everything was good (with the few minor issues that I called & left a message on but, certainly nothing to prevent us from having a great time)
>3. Suggestions regarding supplies or furniture needed..
My only thing was they left these little kitchen bags & there were only 2 large bags for the cans. We went out & purchased some extra large heavy duty bags from walmart for the barrels on the porch. With 20 or so people the little normal trash bags fill up really quick. I think if you supplied the larger heavy bags that would be great
>4. Was there instructions or information that we could of supplied that would of made your stay more enjoyable?.... Everything was documented great!
>5. Additional comments.. We bring allot of smaller children so we made floatable buoys. that would be a nice addition. You could even keep them with the boats and if a family rent it with small children, they could add them. thank you

We had a great stay at your house. There was plenty of room for all 19 of us to be together but also "get away" if need be. The lake was so clean and beautiful. It has been a long time since I saw a lake so clean. My kids loved being able to look down and see fish everywhere! Everyone loved the raft-- The only think I can think of that we could have used was a knife sharpener. The knives were a little dull. The pool table was a hit with everyone--from the 5 year old to the 65 year old!! The downside to this is that my son now wants us to get one!! Thanks again DW Hebron, Ct. August, 2005
Thanks Paul.
I have made comments below. I am considering booking for next year, I
will let you know what dates I am considering.
>1. The cleanliness of the Farm..
Everything was perfectly clean upon arrival
>2. The condition of the amenities..
Conditions were fine, no issues.
>3. Suggestions regarding supplies or furniture needed..
A wok. Maybe some more games. But other than that I found accommodations were very
comfortable.
>4. Was there instructions or information that we could of supplied that
>would of made your stay more enjoyable?
Instructions were fine.
>5. Additional comments..
Everyone had a fantastic time. The price was very reasonable, we had
plenty of space, and were close enough to the slopes.

Paul, We had a wonderful time at the farm. It was a perfect spot for our group. Thanks for everything and we will be in contact in the future. RD, Manchester, Ma. March 2004
Hi Paul,
Again, we were very happy with our stay at the Farm. The setting is
beautiful and it was quite a good bargain for eleven of us to stay for
three nights--hot tub and sauna to boot! There were two children with
us who especially enjoyed the mass of toys and games available for them
(which really kept them occupied so as you can imagine, their mom and
dad were quite appreciative). Really, it's unbeatable so thank you.
Everything on your list was more than satisfactory, so much so that the
only things I can think to offer in terms of suggestion are small
details: perhaps a bit of leveling for the pool table, and I don't know
much about hot tubs but it might need a new filter--the water looked a
bit cloudy. But certainly these things don't stick out in my mind, I
only mention them as a courtesy to you by way of constructive feedback.
I will certainly consider staying again for next year's ski trip and
will tell friends about it.Cheers,David. New York City, March 2004
Hi Paul - We had a super great week at The Maine Farm. Great improvements with bigger washer/drier, the new canoe (we used once), and the horseshoe pit in good shape, too. We adults certainly appreciated the add'l TV in the rec. room for the video games!! Will get back to you re: a return next year and when you get the available dates for next year, I would appreciate it if you would E-mail them as you did for this year. We left in tip-top shape. My son-in-law's sister came up for an afternoon and she was very pleased with your facility. I would not be at all surprised if she books for next year. Anyway - we'll be in touch. BB New Hampshire, July 2003
Everyone had a great time at the farm there was so much to do that sometimes we forgot the kids were there. The farm was great everything was easy to find and in good working order. The water was nice and warm we had fun fishing even though we didn't catch anything. Everyone loved the hot tub and boating and biking. The only problem we had was that none of us wanted to leave. You have a great place and you were very helpful with the one problem we had. You answered all our questions promptly. You and your helpers are a real class act. You will be hearing from us in the future when it come our turn to plan the family vacation again. I wouldn't change a thing at the farm. Thanks for everything,D D Elizabethtown, PA, July 2003
We had a great week - the weather was super - best week of the year -so far. Everything at the farm was as promised and expected. Really can't think of much to change - it's a wonderful location. We all went to the fireworks in Rumford on the 4th. What a great show that was. I think we now need to invest in our own hot tub - that was the big hit of the week - especially out under the stars at night. Thanks again -

Hello Paul and Emily,
I just wanted to thank you again for letting Troop 1 hold its Leadership
Training session at the Farm this past weekend. We did manage to get quite
a bit done despite the pleasant diversions of the pool table, sauna, and hot
tub. All of the Scouts had a great time and expressed their hope that we
could come again some time in the future.
Again, thank you for a great weekend.
Sincerely,

Paul, Our stay at the farm was great. Everyone had a good time. Ginny was very helpful and extremely nice. The place was clean and very comfortable. As I said the place was great and I wouldn't hesitate to rent again or recommended the place to other friends or relatives. J.Q. Providence, RI July, 2002
Paul,
Just to let you know we had a wonderful weekend at the farm. We have now
used the house on two different occasions and the crowd just loves it. I
finnaly met with Ginny on this trip. She was very helpful to us. The new
room and the new hottub were great! Members of my group loved the house so
much they have asked about summer rentals. What is the availability as on
now?
DC, Boston, February, 2002
Good afternoon,
Thanks for your note. We had a great time at the Farm! It was the perfect
atmosphere to gather with family and friends. I've answered your questions
below: 1. The reception you received from our manager/house keeper.
Ginny and her husband were great. They were there when we arrived and she
showed us the essentials of the house. There were some problems with high
chemical levels in the hot tub and they ran though how we should remedy
that. They offered to come back in on Saturday if we couldn't get the
levels working right and to also replace a broken pool cue that was to be
delivered to her home on Saturday. Since we had to drain the hot tub on
Friday night when we arrived they also offered to hang around or come back
if needed. All of which they didn't need to do and we were grateful for
their attention.
>
>2. The cleanliness of the Farm..
>
There were no comments from anyone about uncleanliness. Everything seemed
to be fine. I hope we left it as clean as when we arrived.
>3. The condition of the amenities..
>
The amenities were great. After the hot tub got working it was fine. We
apparently did not get the chemical levels to where they should have been
because a few bathing suits became slightly discolored but we just chalked
that up to the things in life that happen! It was a beautiful hot tub.
Everything else including the pool table, kitchen and furniture were in fine
condition.
>4. Suggestions regarding supplies or furniture needed..
>
none that came up.
>5. Additional comments..
The directions could have been a little more detailed. We came from all
different directions from CT and MA and some of us got a little lost. That
would be it.
It was a great location between ski slopes, some snow mobiling and not to
far from the grocery store. We're talking about doing it again and looking
forward to more snow!
Thanks,
Jean, Boston, January 2002
We had a wonderful time while visiting @ Worthley Pond...
1. We did not actually meet with Ginny due to our late arrival. However,
we found the place very accommodating and a nice note was left behind upon
our arrival, welcoming our visit.
2. The house was ready for our arrival w/ lights and heat turned on. It
was a little dusty but we didn't mind.
3. The place overall was more than we expected...
Everything being labeled was a huge help. The amenities were perfect,
we found everything we could have possibly needed.
4. Fully equipped...no need for additions.
5. Planning the lodging was very easy compared to the other plans that were
involved in our successful trip. Thank you for no headaches.
We most definitely will be back again.
Have a good day

Hi Paul,
We will let you know if we don't receive the refund.
We had a lovely time, went skating (my sis in law broke her arm), went
tubing, sledding, and ate a lot. It was perfect for our family. No
"complaints" We look forward to
visiting again.
Cheers, EP Holleston, Ma Jan. 2002
Hello Mr. Bray,
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful weekend we had last week, and
to also make sure everything was left okay. The new room and the new hottub
were great!
I was also wondering if the farmhouse is rented for New Year's. I know it
is quite early, however, members of my group loved the house so much they
have already put together the deposit. Would this be possible?? MB Salem, Ma Feb. 2002
Hey Paul:
We just got back from the Farm and want to let you know that we have a wonderful time. The photos on the your website does not do it any justice. I would like to compliment Ginny on her housekeeping skills as there was no dirt or dust to be found in sight.
As we were waiting for the dishwasher to finish it's final load on Sunday, my daughter washed some of the towels and sheets to ease up on some of the work Ginny had to do. I do hope that we left the Farm in the manner you expected but if not, please let me know.
Well, we look forward to visiting your facility again - maybe in the summer but more likely again for Thanksgiving. DD Paterson, NJ Nov 2001
Hi Paul,
Our weekend at the Farm was a fantastic success! Thanks very much for
hosting such a wonderful place.

Hi Paul,
We had a wonderful stay at your farmhouse on Worthley Pond. We arrived
Friday night and left Sunday afternoon. The purpose of the rental was to
give a surprise 40th birthday party for my husband (I invited several
couples for the weekend). It was a huge success. My husband was described
as a "deer caught in head lights" when our friends jumped out of the sauna
when we arrived, he thought we were going to a Bed and Breakfast to be
alone. Everyone had a great time mountain biking at Sunday River on
Saturday and locally on Sunday. Your kitchen was well equipped for the
gourmet meals we cooked and it was nice to eat them in a formal dinning
room. I did get the security deposit check,
thanks. I've told several friends about our stay at your farm and they
were interested in finding out more info, I've passed along the website
info which by the way was very helpful. Again we all had a super time and
would definitely consider coming back again.
Thanks again.

Sorry for not writing back sooner. I did receive the refund check. Thank
you for sending it so quickly. My family had such a wonderful time at the
farm. It was a great week. We had people from New Hampshire, New York,
Maryland and Minnesota. It was so relaxing. The house accommodations were
perfect. The setting is so ideal. Ginny was so friendly and helpful. I have
told many friends about the farm, and while it may not work out for my family
to get back to the farm as a whole, because of the distances, I would hope to
get back to the farm at some point either with friends or some family
members. Thank you so much for your courtesy and kindness. We know have our
memories and our photographs. Take Care. Sincerely, TC, Dover, NH, July, 2001
Dear Paul,
I wanted to drop you a note to tell you what a great time my family had on
vacation at the Farm House. The weather was wonderful and we spent most of
our time in the water! The farm house was great for us. Especially the
loft area. My brother, his wife and children fit nicely in that room. We
would definitely need that space next year when we hopefully return. The
rest of house was really nice as well not to mention the beautiful grounds
and the hot tub! We loved the loons and the stars at night were
unbelievable! BV, Lowell, Ma. Aug. 2001
Paul,
We had a wonderful family vacation at the farm last week. It made it
possible to have the whole family together, yet is spacious enough so that
each family group had plenty of privacy available. The weather was perfect
for almost the entire week. It was so warm that no one showed any interest
in the hot tub, so it was never used. The pond water was so warm that most
of the afternoons were spent in it.
We decided not to use the sailboat, there was so much else to do and for all
but Thursday, there wasn't enough wind to tempt us. We did take both your
canoe and ours to go off to the Ellis River one day. There were some
pleasant mountain hikes off toward Weld and Grafton Notch. The games room
was a big hit with both kids and adults, so everyone found something
available to fill in the time when we weren't off on some group activity.
The pool table was a big hit with those of us who hadn't played pool in many
years.
The Farm worked out very well for us and everyone had a wonderful time. Many
thanks.
LD, Wayland, Ma. July 2001
We very much enjoyed our visit to the Farm. Some of the T family may be in touch with you in the future, but for too many of us, Maine is a bit far. So, though we may not have the whole family there again, it is not due to any problem with the Farm. The Farm is super! We also very much appreciated Mr. Dow's quick response to our request
for pillows! After he stopped by, a family came bringing pillows for their own daughters so we didn't need to use two of the pillows. I believe that we left the hottub in good condition, except that it was very hard to keep from getting grass into it. Even though we tried to
keep the children out until they had rinsed their feet. It certainly was, as you told me it would be, very popular! Partly because the weather threw us a curve. Thursday was a beautiful day, as was Monday. Saturday and Sunday were only partly sunny, a little chilly and quite windy. And just in case anyone inquires about a caterer in the future, we had a truly delicious lobster-bake on Saturday night! The caterer came from Bethel... Heather Hale-Nivus of the Good Food Store... and she did a fabulous job for us at what we consider a very reasonable price! Thank you both very much.
The S Family, Poughteepsie, NY Aug. 2000
We had a wonderful time and found your accommodations to be very clean and in good condition, and to meet all of our needs very well. My wife took home several decoration ideas. The P Family, Amityville NY, Aug. 2000
We really enjoyed our stay at the farm. The reception we received from your housekeeper was prompt and extremely friendly. The place was well equipped. The Golf course in Mexico was great, my husband went 5 days in a row. The price was right and the golf course was in great condition. We will be thinking of renting the farm again next year, but do not have dates when everyone will be able to go yet.
Sincerely, the D Family, Somerville, Ma. July, 2000
My family and I enjoyed every minute that during our stay. Ginny was kind enough to meet with my brother-in-law who arrived at the farm first. He had only good things to stay about the meeting. There was a welcome basket with goodies, sodas and beers in the fridge, which made the first few hours there seem like home. A very nice touch. Again, we enjoyed our time greatly. I especially liked the fact that all of the rooms had doors on them. This made it very easy to keep my 18-month-old twins nephew and niece contained. Believe me, closing a door was a much easier solution than running after them after our day at the water. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to share your wonderful home with us. And we look forward to having another family vacation at the Farm.
The D Family, Fitchburg, Ma. July, 2000
"Paul, our party had a great time last week at The Farm at Worthley Pond. The house and property certainly lived up to the descriptions and pictures. The weather was perfect and pond was warm. My five year old daughter even caught a small bass off the dock. Thanks for a wonderful week."
Sincerely,

" I just want to let you know that we had a great time and found the Farm the ideal place for our company ski trip. People here are already asking for another opportunity to go up to Maine and do this again.
Thanks for everything"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Farm. The housekeeper Ginnny was very
helpful and welcoming. We very much appreciated the abundance of towels and
linens, and found the cleanliness of the house better than anything I can
maintain at home. The house is well laid out, and the furnishings very
comfortable. The house absorbed our large group easily.
The kitchen functioned well for us, plenty of cooking space.
It's a great location, and a beautiful spot. I would consider visiting
again in any season.
Thank you for the kind hospitality."

2. The cleanliness of the Farm..
Very clean, no complaints
3. The condition of the amenities..
All in great shape. Having the sauna and hot tub was awesome. I hope to be in touch again next year. Thanks!"

"Paul,
Thank you very much for the use of your house, It was everything we could have asked for. We all got some good skiing in and had well needed rest from our urban lives. We hope to go back again next Spring. I don't really have any suggestions You seem pretty organized already.
